Rome Patch has been selling the Maine Wild Blueberry since 1987. Some folks have been steady customers ever since. In fact, most of our customers return year after year!
All blueberries must be pre-ordered. Order deadline is August 7, 2010.
Each offering is always this year's fresh-frozen crop of the highest quality, grown at a premier family farm located in Down East Maine. This farm does an excellent job of growing, harvesting, grading and finally packing these gorgeous beauties. They do not use pesticides on their blueberry crop, so you can be assured that each and every berry is pesticide free!
The berries arrive in a 10-pound waxed covered box and can be stored in the freezer for well over two years and will still maintain their quality.
And by the way, the Federal Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has concluded that frozen fruits and vegetables are just as healthy as fresh and may even retain their nutritional value longer. The wild blueberry has been getting a lot of attention lately from the nutrition experts. Blueberries are ranked number one among 40 commercially available fruits or vegetables for antioxidant activity. Blueberries also have been reported by the U.S. research community to reduce eyestrain and improve night vision. So decide to order some now.
